Remove TPU cover
TPU cover commonly known as pouch often have an extensive covering over the bezel of your phone in order to completely protect it from any damage to the screen or body. This covering overlaps on your phone’s proximity sensor and affects your control over phone calls. Remove the pouch or any decorative item on the back of your phone to have complete control over your calls.
Check if Flight mode is enabled
Flight mode feature has been set on all smartphones for when you’re in a location with restricted network usage like an airplane. To disable flight mode; Swipe down from the top of your screen to show the notification panel >>> Tap the ‘airplane’ icon to disable flight mode.
Check if SIM is off from SIM settings
Your SIM could have been turned off from your phone’s settings, which will make calling impossible. Go to SETTINGS >>> NETWORK & INTERNET >>> SIM CARD >>> TURN ON THE SIM.
Check for ‘Call forward icon on display
Call forwarding diverts all your incoming calls to a previously recorded phone number, making it impossible for you to receive calls. In order to disable call forwarding; OPEN PHONE APP >>> TAP 3 DOT MENU AT TOP RIGHT >>> SETTINGS >>> CALLING ACCOUNTS >>> CALL FORWARDING >>> TURN OFF
Check if call is allowed in roaming from settings
When your Infinix phone is set to roaming, you have to enable calls or you won’t be able to receive calls. Go to SETTINGS >>> NETWORK & INTERNET >>> MOBILE NETWORKS >>> SELECT SIM >>> CALL ROAMING >>> ALLOW CALLS
Remove SIM, clean golden track on SIM card using soft cloth for dustparticle (don’t scratch)
Your SIM card could have also been compromised by dust and cause your Infinix phone not to have network for calls. Remove the SIM, clean the golden chip on the back with a dry soft cloth and insert back into your phone.
Search network and register on Home network

Check Network mode
4G or LTE network mode only allows internet connection and not calls. You need to avoid “4G only” mode to receive calls. Go to Settings > Sim cards > Network mode > Select mode to 2G and check if call can be received. If OK, switch on internet and change mode to Auto or 4G.
Visit Network provider
Insert other sim cards and check if you can make calls. If calls are going through, call your network service provider or better still visit your network provider’s customer service center to report the problem.
Check if battery is not swollen or deshaped
A swollen battery can affect the placement of your sim card. If you discover your phone’s battery is swollen, take it to a repair professional to fix. Do not attempt to disassemble by yourself if it’s a non-removable battery.
