Take screenshots and print directly from your phone.

This is by far the easiest way to print text messages on your Android phone, at least if you have a printer that supports printing from your phone. You don't have to send the text messages anywhere as most new printers now support printing from an Android phone with OTG over USB or wirelessly. If you've already set up such a printer on your phone, then you can print the whole SMS from your Android phone painlessly. And, if you have a printer at home but you're not sure it can connect with your phone, kindly make research online or visit the manufacturer's website to figure it out.

Follow the steps below to print SMS directly from your phone with screenshots.

  • Open the Messages app on your phone and open a conversation containing the texts you want to print.
  • Now, take a screenshot of the text messages on your phone. If the SMS is long, you may need to take many screenshots until you capture the message. You can also take advantage of Scrolling Screenshots if your device has one.
  • After that, open your gallery app and find the screenshots taken.
  • Select the images, then tap the Share Find your printer on the share sheet and click on it.
  • Doing that will open the print spooler. Setup the page and tap the Print button when you're done.

Your printer should print out the text messages by now if you set it up appropriately. If not, try other methods below.

Send the Text Messages (take a screenshot) to PC With an email

If you don't have a printer that supports printing from your phone, you can send the text messages to your PC to open and print them from there.

To send the text messages to your PC, you would also have to take the screenshots - as said above - and send them to your PC over email. Follow the steps below to do so.

  • Open the text messages you want to print on your phone.
  • Take the screenshots accordingly.
  • Open your gallery app and locate the screenshots. When you find the SMS screenshots, choose all of them and tap the Share
  • On the share sheet, click on Gmail (or your default email app).
  • On the Gmail "Compose" screen, enter your email address (or the default email address on your PC), then tap the Send button to share the SMS screenshots to your PC.
  • When you receive the email on your PC, open the images and print them normally.

Send the Text Messages (take a screenshot) to Dropbox or Google Drive

If you don't want to share the screenshots over email due to some reasons best known to you, you can also share them to your PC with cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or your favourites. One advantage you get by using a cloud service here is that the text messages are saved to the cloud as long as you wish. Moreover, you don't necessarily have to install Google Drive or Dropbox software on your PC before you can access the screenshots. You can view and print them through the web browser on your PC. Follow the steps below to send the text messages to Dropbox or Google Drive.

  1. Get the preferred cloud storage of your choice. Since you use Android, you probably have Google Drive on your phone. So you can use it.
  2. Open Drive on your phone and sign-in to your Google account if you've not yet done so. Now click on the "+" button in the lower part of the screen and tap
  3. Find the screenshots of the text messages you've taken earlier and upload them.
  4. After uploading, open Google Drive on your PC if you have the app. You can also visit drive.google.com on your web browser and sign-in to your Google account.
  5. Find the uploaded images and print them from your computer.

Print the text messages with Super Backup

While the screenshots method is perhaps the most legit way to print your text messages, it might not be so appealing to you. In that case, you can try to print text messages on Android using a third-party app called Super Backup. Super Backup allows you to a backup variety of things on your phone, including Call Logs, SMS, Contacts, etc., and you can also use it to print your text messages.

To get started, grab the Super Backup app from the Play Store and follow the simple steps below.

  1. Open Super Backup on your phone and grant it all necessary permissions.
  2. On the interface, click on SMS, then BACKUP CONVERSATIONS.
  3. Scroll through the conversations to find the one you want to print and tap to open it.
  4. On opening the conversations, you'll see the contents. You may go through it to be sure you've selected the exact SMS. After that, look straight to the top-right corner of the screen, then tap the Print button to open the print spooler.
  5. If you have a printer that supports your phone, you can select it from there. Otherwise, select "Save as PDF".You may also change other settings there if you wish. When you're done, tap the Print button to print the SMS.

If you're saving the text messages as PDF, simply send the file to your PC and print it from there.
