Use Gmail ID To Unlock- Android 4.4 Or Lower Only

You can use your Google account to unlock your Infinix device. Using your Gmail to unlock your Infinix can work if the phone is connected to your Google account and if the find my device option is active on the device.

How do you do this? Follow the steps below.

1. Type your password/pin or draw your pattern wrongly for five times. You will receive a prompt to try again after thirty seconds.
2. At the bottom right of your phone screen, you will see a ‘forgot pattern/password/pin?’ prompt.
3. Tap on the prompt.
4. The phone sends you to Google automatically.
5. Type the username or email of your Google account and the password.
6. Tap on sign-in.
7. After a successful signing-in, the phone will require you to create a new password/pattern/pin.

This will now be the new phone lock. Do note though that this method is only going to work if the version of your Infinix phone has the 4.4 version of the Android operating system or lower. Factory Reset

It is called a factory reset because it will wipe all files and data on your phone. It will also wipe all the applications in your Infinix device. Your phone will be as empty as new, as though it just came from the factory.

How do you do this in a locked phone? Follow the steps below.

1. Hold down the power button to turn off your Infinix device.
2. Now, you have to press and hold a combination, all at once until the Infinix phone restarts. The combination is ‘Middle key/Home key + power key+ volume up key.’ In phones without a home key, press and hold the power key and volume up. Do not let off until the phone boots.
3. Your Infinix device will show you some codes, then clears it and offer you a list of options. You will most likely see four options. Use the volume button to navigate the options and use the power button to select.
4. Scroll to “delete user data” or “factory reset”.
5. Use the power key to select.
6. The phone will inform you that all data will be lost and ask if you want to continue.
7. Tap yes, and the phone reboots.
