In addition to a long list of devices, itel launched the new itel A56 Pro, targeting the low-end and budget-friendly market. The itel A56 Pro comes with some noticeable improvements from its predecessor: itel A55, and its non-pro version: the itel A56. The highlights of the itel A56 Pro are its large 4000mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, 6-inch IPS display with 500 nits of brightness, and more. Here's our review of the itel A56 Pro, showing the top features it offers at its affordable price. But before that, you might want to take a look at itel A56 Pro specs. Here it is.

Design and Display

While the itel A56 Pro comes with various noticeable upgrades from what we saw on the itel A55, there's pretty much no changes in the design language. It still comes with a two-tone color gradient, a vertically aligned camera setup, and screens with large bezels.

Despite that, the itel A56 Pro design is beautiful and modest. It's a classic and elegant design. It is compact, easy to operate, and comes with curved edges that make it fit perfectly on your palms, making it comfortable to operate. We specifically like the rear cover. It's a two-tone gradient design moving from dark to bright colours, and it has this glass-like finish that makes it shine. Up from the top-left corner is a vertically aligned dual-camera setup with flash, and right beside it is a fingerprint sensor. There is a mono speaker grille and some itel branding aligned vertically with the camera setup as well.

Providing you with an immersive multimedia playback and viewing experience, the itel A56 Pro comes with a 6-inch IPS full-screen display. The main upgrade from the A55 is that the screen can go up to 500 nits of brightness, giving you a bright and crisp screen representation whether you're outside or indoors.

Performance

The itel A56 Pro features twice as large as the memory of the A55 and A56. It got a bump to 32GB of storage, and the RAM got upgraded to 2GB. These improvements give more room for multitasking and better performance, while the 32GB of storage lets you store more pictures, videos, files, and more.

On the performance side, the itel A56 Pro is powered by a Quad-Core processor with a max CPU speed of 1.3GHz. This processor is majorly designed for performing basic tasks like calling, texting, light browsing, and more functions that require little power. Obviously, you can't play high-graphics or power-intensive games on the itel A56 Pro, and that's not its primary purpose. If you are someone who needs an Android phone for light usage, or maybe as your backup device, then the itel A56 Pro would be more than sufficient for you. Thanks to Android 9 (Go Edition), the itel A56 Pro feels responsive and less laggy, at least if you don't push it too far.

Battery.

The battery on the itel A56 Pro is on the large side. Here, you'll find a 4000mAh large battery, which is also an upgrade from the itel A55. From watching videos and playing music back to back, the itel A56 Pro's battery will never let you down. It can easily last you a full day of usage without the need for recharging it. From itel's estimate, you can enjoy up to 8 hours of uninterrupted video playback, 21 hours of call time, 54 hours of music playback, and more on the itel A56 Pro. Its power is also backed up with Android's smart power-saving technology, and itel's Power Master.

Camera

Speaking of photography and videography, the itel A56 Pro features three cameras in total. You'll find a dual HD camera setup at the rear and a 5MP selfie camera. The rear camera setup consists of an 8MP primary shooter, coupled with flash for better low-light shots.

In addition to a simple camera interface, you'll find some camera features like HDR, face recognition, beauty mode, panorama, and more on the itel A56 Pro.

Security Options

On the itel A55 released earlier, itel introduced a more secure Face Unlock feature, which lets you unlock your phone in the blink of your eyes. We loved that and feel it's intuitive. Now on the A56 Pro, itel is further improving the Face Unlock feature to work in almost every condition: either day or night. With the aid of Screen Fill Light technology and the use of an infrared camera and light sensor, unlocking your phone with Face Unlock is instantaneous and often successful.

That aside, the itel A56 Pro also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor like its predecessor, and you'll notice its responsiveness while using it, though not as fast as the mid-range and high-end smartphones.
