- Input the incorrect pin/password/pattern about 5 times until you see a message like -"You have incorrectly drawn your unlock pattern 5 times. Try again in 30 seconds"
- Now tap Forgot password at the bottom of the screen.
- You'll be prompted to sign in to your Google account and enter your email address and password to sign in.
- Now set a new screen to unlock by following the steps shown to you on the screen.

- Power off your phone completely or reinsert the battery if it is removable.
- After the phone is completely dead, simultaneously hold the power + volume up until the device boot into recovery mode. (You may try the volume down button instead of the other isn't working for you)
- You should see a fallen Android robot, hold the power button, and press the volume up button once to get into the recovery menu.
- Now use the volume buttons to navigate to the Wipe data/factory reset option, then select it by pressing the power button.
- Use the buttons again to select yes, and then wait for your device to wipe fully then restart it.
It may take longer to finish booting up, just wait for it and don't take any action until it boots completely. Now connect to the internet and sign in to your Google account to continue.
